The Learning Hub, Mount Anville Secondary School
A purpose designed Learning Hub for the new Junior Certificate teaching cycle in Ireland. Our challenge was to produce specialised bespoke detailing which would reflect the ethos of the school’s new era of education.
In association with Paul O’Toole Architects
Changing from the old into the new curriculum was captured in the architecture by sympathetically celebrating the existing stone wall and feature windows.
The skybridge at first floor level connects the existing school building to the new hub at first floor level. This link symbolises and enables connectivity, while the detailing ensures accessibility and safe unobstructed visual and spatial continuity.
